Wudu, Droplets and Forgiveness – Reflection upon Hadith

wudhu_sin
In this article, Ustadh reflects upon the numerous hadith that relate that wudhu constitutes the forgiveness of sin.
Ustadh mentions on Facebook, “If you make wudu with this Prophetic Objective you will definitely feel the difference in your wudu. It will be comes a means of worship itself as oppose to simply preparing for prayer.”
Two of the hadith mentioned, to reflect upon.
[1] Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
When a believer performs ablution and washes his face, all of the sins in which he looked at with his eyes, are extracted with the droplets of water (or with the last droplet of water). When he washes his hands, all of the sinds in which he touched, are extracted with the droplets of water (or the last droplets of water). When he washes his feet, all of the sins in which he walked towards, are extracted with the droplets of water (or with the last droplets of water). This [occurs] until he becomes free of [minor] sins. (Muslim 244)
[2] Uthman ibn Affān (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
Whoever performs wudu punctiliously, his [minor] sins are removed from his body…” (Muslim 245)
