Answer by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani to the following question: I’m a new Muslim and I am struggling with cultivating love for the Prophet (peace be upon him). I do want to grow in my love for Allah, and I have listened to the advice to love what Allah loves. Yet if during my prayers I think of needing love for the Prophet(peace be upon him), I fear it is placing the Prophet (peace be upon him) too close alongside Allah.
