Am I Allowed to Help a Non-Mahram Man with His Emotional Problems?

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Question: Assalamu alaykum

Am I allowed to help a non-mahram man with his emotional problems and personal life?

Answer:  Walaikum assalam,

I hope you’re doing well, insha’Allah.

It is best to simply connect him with upright, knowledgeable Muslims—whether scholars or counsellors, or even good company.

In the meantime, carefully uphold the values of dignified, restrained interaction that Allah and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) have called us all to uphold in our relationships.
