What Should I Do If Only a Few Minutes Are Left Before the Exiting of the Time of the Fajr Prayer?

Question: Assalam alaikum,

If someone wakes up late for the fajr prayer and only 2-3 minutes are left should he perform the prayer without wudu and repeat it later or miss the prayer?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I pray that this message finds you well, insha’Allah.

He should perform a minimum ablution (wudu), and pray a brief prayer. Two or three minutes should be enough time for this.

If the time exits during his prayer, he should repeat it after sunrise because the exiting of Fajr time is invalidating.
