El Osman Academy: The Ijaza Program – Foundational Islamic Studies Retreat

Istanbul Summer 2019 – July 1-July 28, 2019. We invite you to join us for an intensive summer retreat tailored for students of knowledge seeking to lay a solid foundation across the aqliyyat/rational & naqliyyat/transmitted religious sciences in a coherent, consilient, and progressive manner:

Kalām, Ḥanafi/Shafi Fiqh Fiqh, Uṣūl al-Fiqh, Taṣawwuf, Ḥadīth, and Manṭiq – Mutiple levels offered.

Held in the historic and storied city of Istanbul, this is a unique opportunity to learn from leading specialized scholars with authorization (ijaza) and a wealth of experience. In addition to classical Arabic being the medium of instruction, students will also have the opportunity to communicate in the language and develop enduring relationships with teachers beyond the classroom on weekend excursions around the city.
