Eid al-Adha Khutba: Rejoice Unconditionally! – Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

In this Eid al-Adha sermon (khutba), Shaykh Faraz Rabbani stresses the importance and need for believers to rejoice, unconditionally, in God’s grace and mercy.

Shaykh Faraz explains God’s call in the Qur’an, in Surat Yunus: “In God’s grace and mercy let them rejoice: these are better than all they accumulate” [10:58]. He highlights that the Prophet’s state, peace and blessings be upon him, was of constant rejoice in God. He reminds us that one of the neglected sunnas is to smile. Shaykh Faraz calls us to recognize God’s mercy, rejoice in it, and spread this mercy to our families, neighbours and communities at large.

This Eid al-Adha sermon (khutba) was delivered at the Sayeda Khadija Centre, in the Greater Toronto Area, September 2016.
